& Yoga Weekend Retreat
Dates: May 20 & 21, 2023
Do you often find yourself taking care of everyone else?
You might be discovering that you’re frequently agreeing to take on the role of caretaker and caregiver… which could also be causing you to forget about giving love to the most important person of all.
Yourself.
It’s hard to take care of yourself when you constantly find that you’re taking care of everyone around you.
That’s why it’s so important to take time every single day to take care of yourself. To show yourself love, gratitude and appreciation.
You may be feeling lost when it comes to starting this process.
The process of becoming who you want to be and taking care of yourself can be a challenging one.
However, implementing small changes slowly can actually cause a chain reaction of changes, resulting in your transformation finally taking place.
There are many things I have done in my life that have caused changes, but the thing that changed my entire being has been applying all of the lessons I’ve learned. I’ve taken all of the spiritual tools and the physical skills and combined them to become the key in transforming myself into the light.
I know you might be thinking “That’s impossible” or “It’ll take too long” or maybe even “It’s too hard.”
All of those things may be true for you now.
Meditation, yoga and self-care are tools you can use to help implement changes. These practices, when done well can yield life changing transformation.
Meditation has been practiced in many cultures and spiritual traditions all over
the world for thousands of years. Most religions, including Buddhism, Hinduism, Christianity, Judaism, and Islam, have a tradition of using some form meditative practices. There are different forms of mediation, but there are essentially two
main types.
Yoga is a way of life and not a religion. Yoga normally incorporates meditation and breathing. Like meditation there are several different types of yoga. Yoga and meditation improve the development of brain cells. According to studies at Harvard, when you lift weights, your muscles get stronger and bigger. When you do yoga, your brain cells develop new connections, and changes occur in brain structure as well as function, resulting in improved cognitive skills, such as learning and memory. Yoga strengthens parts of the brain that play a role in memory, attention, awareness, thought, and language.
After a few weeks of these spiritual practices many experiences:
-
Increased self-awareness
-
Improved emotional well-being
-
Improved working memory
-
Improve stress management
-
Improve health (high blood pressure, anxiety, depression, sleep disorder)
